ZESCO United humiliated hosts Red Arrows 4-1 in a Super Division rescheduled Week 21 match played at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka yesterday. The Zambia Air force sponsored Arrows were subjected to what seemingly looked like a training session by Zesco in second half. Coming from a Barclays Cup semi-final win last Saturday, edging Power Dynamos 1-0 to reach the finals, Zesco was on fire against Arrows opening the scores in the 34th minute through Confederation of African Football (CAF) nominee for the best player award Jesse Were’s spot kick. The victory pushed Zesco to 49 points and maintain fourth place on the log with seven games in hand. They are 15 points behind leaders Zanaco while Nkana and Power Dynamos are second and third with 57 and 53 points respectively. Zesco coach George Lwandamina hailed his lads for exhibiting good football in an away game.
