Kambwili is just too right

Dear Editor, Yes, Honourable Kambwili, Bowman, Lusambo and Stephen Kampyongo are absolutely right and they have the right stuff. I mean the right tone and attitude. The sort that has been lacking in all previous governments. They are my meal! With them around, we shall have the peace and stability Zambia needs. Their portfolios call for that sort of courage for, how shall we have peace and stability when you have HH and GBM on the loose, riding rough as though they own the country. They are not Gods nor anywhere close to being above the law. Those fellows, as Honourable Kambwili observed are a danger to Zambia’s peace and existence. The trouble with Honourable Kampyongo’s police service is that they seem to be afraid of the word treason. That’s the very appropriate charge to give those two men. For indeed, their acts are treasonable and not those ‘back scratch’ charges they are donating to them. What is government afraid of? Or perhaps I am the only one that sees treason in their utterances and actions? They don’t recognize the leadership we unanimously voted for. And not only that, but to go further and incite their followers to do the same. What is the meaning of it, if not treason? Put them in! That’s where they belong! We don’t need them. They are irrelevant in each and every way you can choose to look at it. Their voices, words and actions stink up the country. Do not handle them with feminist hands. Haul them up! Government emboldens them with its sluggish, soft approach. You can be humble and still be firm, solid as a rick. Those dubious, power hungry businessmen dare government every day and night and government plays along and gives them more ground to be silly. Its time to put them where they belong! They are really nothing at all but cheap fellows! Really cheap political scoundrels! We shall have more peace and harmony, as other times before, without them around. They are the real architects of the present tribal tension we are experiencing today. They have poisoned the minds of most Tongas to the point where they can bring tribal anarchy to our country if they haven’t done that already. As I said before, they are of very little value, and that’s to their own foreign masters and friends and to their families too. Hats off to you honourable Kambwili, Lusambo and Kampyongo. Only, be even more courageous and fear not. You are my men! R.A, Lusaka

‘Let the dead bury the dead’

Dear Editor, I now fully appreciate why Jesus Christ told someone who wanted to follow him to ‘’ let the dead bury the dead’. President Lungu should not be bothered by UPND sulking in its defeat and like Jesus said, this political party is a conquered one (dead) so let it bury itself. HH and GBM will be crying like spoilt brood until 2021. Well, they appear not to have any choice but to do that because how else are they going to keep their followers entertained even in total political abyss. Come to think of it, the two fellows aren’t really that bad because they give us something to laugh about. You know the type that wants to appear momentous when they are not. Hey what would this world be without comedy? It would be an ominous place to live in. So if HH and GBM have chosen not to recognize President Lungu ( who is now in charge of Zambia), that  is perfect because it is their democratic right and that cannot and WILL NOT force  the majority of rightful thinking Zambians to go and hug transformers to celebrate with them. And believe you me 2021 is not very far either. So if the two leaders want to spend their time in trifling matters they will one day wake up too late to do something about their party. I am not a prophet of doom but I will insist that a non-Tonga takes over the leadership of UPND and you will witness the sudden appeal that it will draw. UPND will then have incredible chances of forming the next government. But on the other if it maintains HH at its helm, then UPND will have a long long, long wait. I also know that it takes brave men to admit their failures instead of clinging to dead issues. And so? We shall let the dead bury the dead.

Equip health institution with drugs

Dear Editor,

Now is the time for PF to stop talking politics but deliver on their campaign promises. Of immediate concern is shortage of drugs in our health institutions. The so-called Chingwere or is it Matero Hospital is the worst example where medicines topped existing many years ago. It is common to be give prescriptions to buy drugs because the institution is always empty. This certainly is not good for PF. And I am sure I am speaking for many patients  who visit the various health institution in Zambia. Please PF make this as number area of attention because a healthy nation will create a healthy economy and you will earn marks that way. The situation becomes even more precarious considering the high poverty levels in Zambia. How many can afford to buy drugs? Going to a government hospital or clinic these days spells nightmares because apart from lack of drugs, the attitude of medical staff leaves much to be desired. Sometimes one wonders why certain people are in those positions because they just don’t care at all.

Chipolopolo misses target on first shot

Dear Editor, Group of Death in the Russia world Cup Qualifiers is where  Zambia belongs. The Chipolopolo are  the underdogs in this group, and as was expected, they lost to Nigeria at home turf bringing the loss to second after Zimbabwe edged the Chipolopolo earlier at the same venue. It is only Zambia which has never been to the World Cup in this group and it is only Zambia which has won the AfCON once. Going by these statistics Zambia has is trading on tight rope to make its maiden appearance in Russia 2018. Despite playing an entertain  game we failed to find the back of the net, and the changes made by coach made things worse for Chipolopolo. Kennedy Mweene is ever on bench at his club and I am left wondering what he was doing between those two “sticks”. Just when will Jacob Banda be considered no.1 choice?.Going by this performance Zambia will be lucky to amass a point. In the most unlike event that we qualify to Russia World Cup, I don’t see this team wining any game let alone a draw. We are far from reaching that stage, let us just concentrate on boxing where we beat them hard if they come hard. CHAKWIYA  BORNFACE CHONGWE
