Nobody wants to kill HH

NO one would want to kill Hakainde Hichilema and his assertions that President Edgar Lungu wants to kill him are nothing but a shameless attempt to demonise the head of State, the Patriotic Front (PF) has charged. PF deputy spokesperson Frank Bwalya said Mr Hichilema would instead be killed by a combination of his ego, notorious ambition to become Zambia’s president at all costs and his propensity to continue amassing wealth as well as tribalism. Mr Bwalya said in an interview yesterday that Mr Hichilema’s ego, desire for riches and his ambitions to be president even after he had been rejected by Zambians on countless times, would be his undoing. He said Mr Hichilema was not going to succeed in branding President Lungu a killer because Zambians knew that the Head of State was a God-fearing man. Mr Bwalya said Mr Hichilema’s attempt to hoodwink Zambians that President Lungu wanted to kill him (Hichilema) was nothing but a shameless scheme to continue demonising an innocent leader. “The wild allegations by Mr Hichilema that President Lungu wants to kill him will not win the UPND leader any sympathy. As the PF, we believe that Mr Hichilema needs to watch his ego, his notorious ambitions to become president of Zambia at all costs and his propensity to seek riches as well as his tribalism and not President Lungu,” Mr Bwalya said. Mr Bwalya said President Lungu was a man who always wished all Zambians including Mr Hichilema the best of life and that was why the Head of State was doing everything possible to ensure Zambia remained united, peaceful with its citizens living in harmony. He said Mr Hichilema with his vice-president Geoffrey Mwamba had been deliberately committing crimes so that they could be arrested and give their cadres an opportunity to engage in riotous behaviour, cause havoc and disturb the peace of the country. “President Lungu is a leader who respects the rule of law and he is not going to instruct the police to arrest Mr Hichilema and Mr Mwamba even the PF members when they break the law. The police will always work professionally and will arrest all law breakers or those who are paid to riot so that when they are left to atone for their sins alone, they will think twice before engaging in criminal activities,” Mr Bwalya said.
