Warriors butchered in Ndola


FOREST Rangers were yesterday unstoppable at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola when they humbled Kabwe Warriors 3-1.

The Week 28 Super League match kicked off on a high note with Rangers taking the lead in the 10th minute through Kobe Chipeta.

Rangers continued to put up a good play and Felix Nyaende scored the second goal in the 35th minute.

Two minutes later, Logical Ching’andu scored the third while Warriors coach Mohammed Fathy watched in disbelief.

Warriors’ consolation goal came in the 42nd minute through Soloni Jere.

In second half, both teams failed to utilize their chances with the game ending 3-1 much to the excitement of Rangers’ players, fans and officials.

At Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka, Nakambala Leopards edged Green Buffaloes 1-0 in a tightly contested match.

Mufulira Wanderers and Nkana shared points at Shinde Stadium in a game that ended 2-2. Ronald Kampamba opened the scores in the 11th minute for Nkana before Ben Chengo equalized in the 37th minute.

Walter Bwalya put Nkana in the lead with a second goal in 85th minute but the celebrations were short-lived as Joseph Kasongo made it 2-2 for Wanderers.
