Chongwe yearns for development

Editor,

I agree with Borniface Chakwiya, Hon Mwakalombe and Hon Chuubwe have a mammoth task since Chongwe has remained a ramshackle town due to lack of political leadership. The district has not benefited from the countrywide bituminous township roads. Water supply is erratic and the central business location is just a roadside settlement. The past anointed leader made more noise but delivered nothing. Adeodatus Matafwali

Open Letter to the Finance Minister Felix Mutati

Editor,

As I welcome you to the Ministry of Finance, please put in order the Industrial Development Corporation which has been heavily lead by people who are politically-minded and now bitter of the outcome of the election results. Of the 33 companies, there is need to change directors. We are suffering at the hands of these directors. Please, visit some of these companies and talk to workers for the truth. James Lungo,

All those against Lungu doomed

Editor,

The Bible says, never fight the anointed ones. All those who are against our beloved President today are doomed. Kabimba lost the presidential race, Scott’s wife, GBM’s daughter tumbled and so did Masebo. Alick Nyambe

Advice to the Mayor

Editor,

Lusaka is a big and congested city. I was impressed in 2011 when the PF came into power. The statement that the Town Clerk gave that all roads in these townships must be kept clean and those flowers blocking the roads must be cut and if not, the Council would move in and do the job. Thereafter, the Council would charge the landlords of those premises but all this was to no avail. Please sir, move in and plan for this action to take place. Mwandila. J

Forceful marketing of products

Editor, I am a very disappointed client of Creambell products who was forced to buy their maheu when, in fact, I just wanted ten packets of milk from Matero outlet. Why should one be subjected to such injustice as if we are living in the colonial era? Can’t their marketing team find a better way of selling their maheu? Banda Elias

UPND MPs must advocate for development

Editor,

Allow me to advise the government and well-meaning Zambians to completely ignore pronouncements by Hakainde Hichilema, the five-time presidential loser. The man is clearly off the rail after yet another loss this year. Reacting to his irrationality only serves to upstage the man and his band of sour losers at national level. We have worthy UPND members who were elected to serve Zambia and its people in parliament and local government institutions to give attention to up to 2021.HH is not a factor now. Sebbi Mandon, Kalundu, Lusaka

Appointment of ministers on merit

 Editor,

President Edgar Lungu has done a commendable job by appointing the credible men and women. I wrote something about Dr. Edify Hamukale, Felix Mutati and Joyce Nonde Simukoko. These people will add value to the nation. Lastly, President Lungu should continue to identify credible leaders within the party and outside. Kennedy Munyemesha
