Madison General  Insurance launches online motor, household service

MADISON General Insurance has launched an online portal for motor and household product aimed at enhancing service delivery through using latest technological advancements.

Madison General becomes the first company in Zambia to have made insurance accessible 27/7.

Speaking during the official launch, company managing director Chabala Lumbwe said the online portal would offer its customers the liberty of choosing various motor and household insurance options.

Mr Lumbwe said Madison General Insurance’s investment in systems ensured effective controls and easier client follow-up which was an area it had continued improving upon to benefit clients.

“With these measures put in place, we are optimistic that cross-selling and ups-selling of new and existing insurance products would stand greatly enhanced for their benefits,” he said.

He explained that the new online portal was cutting across the need of physical presence while taking across boundaries to offer insurance in a much convenient way.

“We need to change the way people persuade online insurance, hence the need to embrace technology. With the changing dynamics of insurance business, Madison General Insurance wants to bring comfort, peace, ease and the convenience of doing business anywhere, anytime,” he said.

He said the new system allowed customers access insurance through their mobile phones.

Mr Lumbwe said the company strategy remained that of being customer focused and that Madison General had over the years sought ways of reaching out to its clients.

He said the most tangible evidence of reaching out to people was the Broker Link or Colloborator, an electronic tool which had been in use by company intermediaries since its launch in 2014.
