Nkana triumph

…as they close in on league leaders ZANACO

NKANA yesterday reduced the gap with leaders Zanaco to five points when they beat Nchanga Rangers 1-0 in a Super Division Week 23 match played at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.

The victory pushed Nkana to 47 points while Zanaco, who face Green Buffaloes today, have 52.

But Zanaco may increase the gap to eight points if they overcome the Zambia Army outfit in today’s match at Sunset Stadium.

Walter Bwalya’s 66th minute goal was enough to give the “Kalampa Boys” the much needed three points. Nkana were given a tough run by Nchanga in the first half, forcing them into their own half most of the time but the Chingola outfit fired blunt shots at goal.

Nkana returned in the second half more organised and showed the urgency for an opener which came early in the 66th minute.
