PEOPLE’S Alliance for Change (PAC) president Andyford Banda has assured youths in the country that his party would empower them if elected in the upcoming general elections.
Mr. Banda gave the assurance in an interview with the Daily Nation.
He said his party would fulfil all its promises to Zambians and assuages their hopelessness, especially youths, some of whose plight he observed deserved to be addressed by responsive leaders.
“There is no other trusted party that can wipe the tears of Zambians than PAC. We are committed to addressing all economic and other challenges confronting the country. We have interest in empowering the youths because we believe that they are the future leaders, and for this reason, PAC needs the support of Zambians especially the youths to be able to tackle these challenges,” Mr. Banda said.
He also promised that the party would turn the nation’s economy around if given the chance to govern the country on August 11.
Mr. Banda stated that all the economic challenges the country was facing would be a thing of the past, when he was voted into power.
“All that is required is for Zambians to give us a chance to govern the country; we will ensure that Zambia’s economy becomes one of the best in Africa, through various initiatives on our agenda,” he said.
Mr. Banda said his party would focus attention on education by providing infrastructure, equipment and employing more teachers to boost the quality of education in the country.
He promised to revive some of the decaying infrastructure nationwide to make life more meaningful for the people.
He enjoined the people of Zambia to vote for him during the elections.
