‘‘I am not leaving the club any time soon, there is nothing that will make me leave at the moment,’’ says Zanaco midfielder Rodrick Kabwe.
Kabwe yesterday dispelled rumours that he was on the verge of leaving Zanaco for an international career.
He said he was receiving enough game time and was enjoying his stay at Zanaco.
“I am going nowhere. I have played almost every game this season. You can only ask to leave if not given enough game time. But in my case, I have enjoyed a good game time,” he said.
Kabwe stated that there was no genuine reason for him to leave Zanaco. “I have no reason that will make me leave Zanaco at the moment,” he said.
The former Kabwe Warriors player joined Zanaco in 2014 and has continued to put up impressive performances.
He currently has five goals and looks determined to continue to chase top scorer Zesco United striker Jesse Were on 12 goals.
The Zanaco ball wizard has been instrumental in the team’s successful run in the first half of the season that saw the bankers finish on 40 points.
Zanaco are leading the summit of the Super Division with a seven-point lead against Zesco United with 33 points.
