LCC urges business owners to renew licences

THE Lusaka City Council (LCC) has advised all business owners in the city to renew their business licences.

LCC public relations manager Mulunda Habeenzu has warned that business owners who would fail to renew their licences between July 1 and October 31 would be charged a penalty fee of K450.

“LCC would like to inform all business entities that the renewal of business licences for 2017 started on July 1st 2016 and will end on October 31st. Thus, all those that have not renewed their licences should make payments within the stipulated period to avoid inconveniences,” Mr. Habeenzu said.

He reminded all businessmen and women in the city that in accordance with Statutory Instrument No. 20 of 2012, it was illegal to trade without a business licence.

Mr. Habeenzu mentioned Matero Community Hall, Fire Brigade along Church Road, Chelstone Community Hall, Nyumba Yanga Market, Mwatusanga Parks & Gardens along Mwatusanga road behind State House and Kalikiliki Site Office among others as satellite offices where payment could be made.
