Leave Zambia to govern herself

Editor,

Let the United States of America, Britain and other Western countries know that Zambia is a sovereign state and has her own laws. I think Robert Mugabe was right about the Western nation’s propensity in interfering in internal matters of other countries. The Post Newspapers must pay taxes it owes Zambia Revenue Authority and the time to do so is now.

Lifting of airspace ban by EU welcome

Editor,

I could not hold my excitement when news reached me. The European Union has now lifted the ban on Zambian aircraft to enter the EU airspace. This is good news as it is expected to  boost international trade and further grow the tourism sector and other businesses.

Fred should just pay ZRA

Editor,

The ranting and threats by Post editor-in-chief Fred M’membe and the United Party for National Development over the closure of the Post cannot go without comment. The money Fred was collecting in form of VAT and PAYE from customers and employees respectively was supposed to be given to ZRA, but he chewed it. That is stealing from Government. And if this is what HH and his UPND are supporting, then UPND government will be a disaster.

Zambia can make it to World Cup

Editor,

I have heard many soccer fans saying that Zambia has already been booted out of the 2018 World Cup because it has been placed in the toughest group which consists of Cameroon, Algeria and Nigeria. As for me, I have still hope that we can do it and top the group. What is lacking at the moment is skilful players. I f we can have four or five players like Chisamba Lungu and Rainford Kalaba we can conquer all these nations. I therefore appeal to FAZ to seriously start talent identification programmes. We want to  test the World Cup.

Re-open The Post

Editor,

It is extremely bad for the Government through Zambia Revenue Authority to close the Post Newspapers for the alleged gigantic tax arrears. What is it that these people are hiding? The Post must be allowed to open and the PF should not block Zambians from getting different information for the sole purposes of enabling citizens to make informed decisions.

PF in Rufunsa de-campaigns its candidate

Editor,

I have been prompted to write this message because of the behaviour of our party officials here in Rufunsa constituency. Our PF district party officials are going round de-campaigning their aspiring parliamentary candidate. We love the party and we have since vowed to give 100 percent vote for the candidates riding on the PF ticket. May you kindly come and correct the situation before the damage is done.

Careful with who we vote for

Editor,

I would like to advise Zambian people not to be comfortable with some Presidential running mates who are opportunists, hot and short tempered and boastful like  Idi Amin. Let us be very careful as we go to the polls.

Western diplomats campaigning for HH

Editor,

I can’t be shocked to see Western nations condemning the closure of the Post newspapers. Who doesn’t know that Western diplomats are campaigning for UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema for reasons best known to themselves.
