SYLVIA Masebo has got nothing to offer the people of Chongwe even after serving them for the past 15 years, a member of the Patriotic Front (PF) Chongwe Constituency campaign team has charged.
Speaking in an interview with the Daily Nation Ms. Anna Malashya wondered why Ms. Masebo was still contesting the Chongwe Constituency after failing to deliver meaningful development to the people.
“There is nothing tangible to point at in Chongwe because the previous MP failed to live up to her promises,” said Ms. Malashya.
Ms. Malashya said that many projects had stalled in Chongwe because Ms. Masebo only concentrated on things that were only beneficial to her. “Instead of delivering development to the constituency, she was busy pulling down the Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA). Projects like the road construction works on the Palabana road have stalled because Ms. Masebo has abandoned the constituency,” said Ms. Malashya.
She appealed to Chongwe residents not to make the same mistake again by voting back Ms. Masebo who had failed to take development to the constituency as evidenced by the lack of development in Chongwe.
“There is nothing to point at in Chongwe, no spar, no Shoprite and other infrastructure. This is why the people of Chongwe should vote for the young man, Japhen Mwakalombe, because he is the only one with the capacity at the moment,” she said.
