The evil cartel that persecuted second republican president Frederick Chiluba must confess their sin because the London court judge, Peter Smith, whom they used is on the verge of being thrown out of the British bench for passing bad and questionable judgments.
Last week the appeal court threw out another judgment by Justice Smith and ordered a retrial, but observed that this was not the first time his judgments were being questioned. Zambia Republic Party (ZRP) president Wright Musoma has charged that the persecution of Dr. Chiluba on outrageous charges was a blemish caused by a few selfish individuals who did not have national interest at heart.
“They lied that President Chiluba had properties in Europe and yet he had absolutely nothing of the sort. They never allowed him an opportunity to explain himself because they were determined to find him guilty.” He said Judge Smith who found Dr. Chiluba culpable was last week heavily criticised by the appeal court for injudicious conduct. The court was appalled that this misconduct was not isolated but accumulated over the years.
A legal Editor has gone as far as asking the judge to step down because of his unseemly conduct and bad judgments.
Mr. Musoma recalled how the judge allegedly connived with the Cartel to destroy Dr. Chiluba by accusing him of corruption.
“The cartel lied that President Chiluba had assets in England when actually not, I lived in England for four and a half years. I was very close to Chiluba’s children, there is no one who owns a property there, but they lied that Chiluba had stolen, that’s how evil they are,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Musoma reiterated that ZRP would continue to stand strong against the cartel because they did not mean well for the country.
He stated that the wish of the cartel was to destroy the country. “This is why as ZRP we have stood strong against the cartel because we know these people are not what many Zambians think they are.
“They are evil people who can do anything in order to destroy people. So we are asking the Zambian people to join us and open up their eyes because if these people are not stopped, they are going to destroy the country.”
