PF, UPND cadres in fists of fury

By Millennium Radio

RIVAL cadres believed to belong to the Patriotic Front and opposition UPND yesterday clashed at Total filling station in Kanyama and later extended their fight to Lady Diana Education Centre while the school was in session, forcing pupils to scamper.

And speaking in an interview with Millennium radio, UPND Lusaka provincial youth spokesperson Gilbert Liswaniso accused the Patriotic Front cadres of attacking UPND supporters.

Mr Liswaniso explained that a group of PF cadres attacked UPND supporters who were preparing to go for campaigns.

He called on the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ)  to take action against the PF.

Meanwhile, when contacted for a comment, Lusaka Province Police Commissioner Nelson Phiri said he was in a meeting and would call the reporter later.

The ECZ has warned that it would suspend campaigns if some parties continued with violent activities.
