A MAN told a Local Court in Lusaka that he was shocked when he received calls from the lover of his wife telling him that he was useless in bed.
This was heard in a case in which Kennedy Mukuka, 33, of Chibolya compound sued his wife, Norah Mutale, 30, of John Laing compound for divorce.
The two got married in 2007 and have two children.
Mukuka told Senior Court Magistrate Daniel Phiri sitting with Magistrates Sarah Nyendwa and Ackim Phiri at Kanyama Local Court that he was shocked when he received a number of phone calls from his wife’s lover who told him that his manhood was small and that was why he was failing to satisfy Mutale sexually.
Mukuka explained that this was the second time Mutale cheated on him, adding that even the second child was not his.
He said due to the love he had for Mutale he did not tell her relatives that she was impregnated by another man when he went to work in Botswana.
He said even after counselling Mutale, she did not change and to his surprise, he received phone calls that indicated that she had another lover.
Mukuka said he was tired of staying with a promiscuous woman and that all he wanted was a divorce, adding that the state of affairs in his home prompted him to look for another woman to marry whom he has since impregnated.
In defence, Mutale admitted, however, that her husband received a phone call from a man saying he was useless in bed but that she did not know the person who called him.
She said Mukuka had found another woman and that was the reason he created stories in court.
Magistrate Daniel Phiri granted the couple divorce without compensation and ordered Mukuka to be paying children maintenance fee of K350 per month and property acquired together would be shared.
