UNZA students endorse PF’s Kalumba for Lusaka mayor

SOME University of Zambia students have endorsed Patriotic Front candidate Wilson Kalumba for the position of Lusaka mayor in the August elections.

Jimmy Manenga, who spoke on behalf of the students, said they have decided to rally behind Mr. Kalumba because of his ‘‘clean record of prudent financial management’’ both at Bank of Zambia and United Nations.

Mr. Manenga said Mr Kalumba had the qualities of an Executive Mayor because of his sound education, experience and exposure globally.

“We want to categorically state that our support for Mr. Kalumba is on principle because he beats all his contenders in terms of education and leadership experience. Mr. Kalumba worked for Bank of Zambia for 18 years as deputy director in charge of all commercial banks in the country.
