STANBIC Bank Zambia Limited has opened a branch at Mukuba Mall in Kitwe, regarded as one of the largest malls in Zambia that has brought pride to the residents of Kitwe and the Copperbelt as a whole.
Stanbic Bank Zambia head of personal and business banking Mukwandi Chibesakunda said Mukuba Mall branch was a relaxed and secure facility with a favoured location for SMEs.
Ms Chibesakunda said Stanbic Bank Zambia Limited was driving infrastructure and retail sector growth, and that the bank financed the construction of the Mukuba mall at a cost of US$23 million.
“I am excited to announce the expansion of the bank’s distribution network, and this Mukuba Mall branch is our third branch here in Kitwe.
‘‘We want the Kitwe community to be able to bank at their own convenient time, and our clients will be able to deposit cash or transact 24hours with our self-service centre at Mukuba Mall,” she said.
Ms Chibesakunda said the bank would also offer not only cash facilities but also a sales point where customers could access information on bank products, receive support and open accounts.
She said financial service consumers needed to change their attitude towards non-cash payment methods and internet banking.
“It therefore goes without saying that financial education will be critical in shifting public attitude and ensuring that modern banking methods are widely utilized,” she said.
Ms Chibesakunda said through its international expertise and local capability the bank continued to deliver world class products and services to its customers and local businesses to provide greater access and convenience.
“We remain confident, strong and are committed to moving Zambia forward. We say Zambia is our home and we drive her growth.
‘‘Stanbic Bank has been in Zambia for close to 60 years, and it is with this network of branches that we have served generations of families and well-established companies that have contributed to the country’s economy, through both good and challenging times,” she said.
