Lubinda castigates HH

UPND president Hakainde Hichilema’s decision to field Mulenga Sata against the Patriotic Front, a party formed by his father, Michael Sata is a sinful act, PF Kabwata member of Parliament candidate, Given Lubinda has charged.

And MMD president Felix Mutati yesterday appealed to Munali Constituency residents to vote for President Edgar Lungu and his parliamentary candidate Mike Mposha on August 11.

Mr Lubinda has, however, said it was not too late for Mulenga Sata to return to PF, adding that President Edgar Lungu is willing to receive him.

“When I was faced with problems in the PF, I never insulted President Michael Sata or resigned but instead prayed to God and my prayer was answered,” Mr Lubinda said.

Mr. Lubinda also said the decision by Mr. Hichilema  to appoint Mr Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba as his running mate would work against him.

He said Mr Mwamba, popularly known as GBM was a known violent man.

And Mr. Lubinda expressed confidence of retaining the seat because he has transformed the constituency.

He said there is no time to experiment with leadership.

And Zambia Republican Party (ZRP) president Wright Musoma said his party would rally behind President Lungu.

He said there was no time to vote for political comedians.

Christian Democratic Party president Dan Pule has called for peaceful campaign ahead of the August 11 elections.

And speaking when he addressed marketeers at Kalingalinga, Kaunda Square and Kamanga compounds, Mr Mutati said MMD and PF were one but were operating like duo simcard phone.

Mr Mutati promised to rectify the damaged sewerage pipe because it was not health to live in such a situation.

He said this when he toured the market and found a sewer pipe had burst inside the market.

Mr Mutati said the MMD decided to enter into an alliance with the PF in order to help the ruling party to find solutions to some of the challenges because the former ruling party had practical experience.

And Mr Mposha, who is former Lusaka mayor and a diplomat in the Rupiah Banda regime, told the residents that President Lungu deserved a full term mandate because one year was not enough to judge a presidents’ performance.

Mr Mposha also apologised to the Munali residents if there was anything wrong that he did while he was a councillor in Kaunda Square.
