Editor,

The fee-paying toilets at Luburma market are a health hazard. Can the City Council look into this issue before people die of cholera?

Keshi’s death, great loss

Editor,

The death of Nigerian football legend Steve Keshi has saddened not only Nigeria but the rest of Africa and the world at large. He remains the only African coach to have qualified for the World Cup with two AFCON  victories to his name. Soccer fan

Pres. Lungu must mingle with grassroots.

Editor,

The editorial comment of June 6th tells a story. Truly our president should take keen interest in this. Other people don’t see how crucial this election is and HE ‘Mr walk the talk’ must mingle with the grassroots to have the true picture on ground. Concerned Zambia

 Bravo ZRL!

Editor,

I would like to thank Njanji commuter train management for responding to our plight of over-loading. I am happy that the train will now be leaving Lusaka town by 18:00 hours going to Ngwerere area. This will help us reach home early now. Keep it up ZRL!  Margaret Banda

No corruption in teacher recruitment

Editor,

I hope there won’t be corruption this time on the ongoing teacher recruitment. A lot of corruption has been reported in the recruitment exercises. Can the relevant authorities look into this matter amicably?  Concerned teacher

Peter Makembo’s double-standards

Editor,

Peter Makembo must desist from making sweeping and unsubstantiated allegations against FAZ officials. He is not the only soccer fan around. Besides being a soccer fan doesn’t qualify him to be a soccer expert. Wasn’t he one of those who pressured the then FAZ to have a local coach? Why u-turning now?  Soccer fan and observer

Zambia Revenue Authority and cash receipts

Editor,

I am surprised that ZRA actually takes companies to court for non-issuance of receipts. It’s actually the rule in almost every shop, filling stations especially pharmacies etc in Zambia not to issue receipts or accept payment using credit cards. The exceptions are the foreign owned big supermarkets and a few supermarkets which always do give receipts and swipe.  Why doesn’t  ZRA purchase cash registers and swipe machines then give them PINs for all these businesses?  Concerned citizen
