THE vision and ambition of the 2016-2021 Patriotic Front (PF) manifesto will focus on reducing the cost of living for the poor majority by increasing agricultural productivity, enhanced job creation and accelerated diversification of the economy, President Edgar Lungu has said.
He said he would vigorously direct his efforts at reducing the price of mealie-meal and other essential commodities, ending load shedding, ensure steady supply of medicines in hospitals and maintain affordable school fees for the needy.
This is according to a statement issued to the Daily Nation yesterday by the special assistant to the President for press and public relations Amos Chanda.
President Lungu encouraged all party functionaries to read and disseminate as widely as possible the revised PF Manifesto 2016-2021.
President Edgar Lungu is optimistic that Zambians have appreciated the Patriotic Front performance in Government in the last five years because the goals that the party set for itself were realistic and achievable.
He has since pledged the Patriotic Front’s resolve to complete all projects which have remained uncompleted in the first term if given a second term in the August 11 general elections.
President Lungu has said this in his 2016-2021 Patriotic Front manifesto released yesterday.
