HH and the Armageddon

Editor,

I wish to say something about HH with regard to the Armageddon he wants in this country. Is he really a Christian as he claims? If so, why is he talking this way? How would you wish bad for people you want to rule? Zambians, let’s be extremely careful with some of the people who are aspiring to be our leaders.

MMD convention

Editor,

Already 11 MMD MPs have defected to UPND and even Felix Mutati is part of that group. Suppose the remaining MMD group decides to defect to PF, what will become of MMD? Mutati wants an alliance with UPND whereas Nevers wishes to enter into an alliance with PF. I don’t see any life in MMD. Why does Mutati not condemn the MMD defectors to UPND?

Traders should lower prices of goods

Editor,

The appreciation of the Kwacha has not witnessed or seen a corresponding and remarkable decline in the general price of goods and services. This has not benefited the consumers of various goods and services in terms of lowering prices. In fact, this should not be the case. At the moment, the kwacha is trading between K9.37 and K9.52 against the US dollar. All things being equal, the traders are exploiting the consumers by charging higher prices on their merchandise. The case in point is the high price of mealie-meal, our staple food, which is selling above K100 in some provinces

Lungu, man of the people

Editor,

I would like to commend President Edgar C. Lungu on the Solar Milling plants the government bought. This is an indication that the President cares about the people. Again he promised land to miners and he has delivered. He does not hit back at those insulting him. The President has taken development to all parts of Zambia.

Police should name masterminds behind ritual killings

Editor,

I would like to express my disappointment at the manner the police are handling the case of the arrested suspected ritual killers. Why is it that those who were caught are not mentioning their masterminds who sent them on those brutal errands?

Let there be peace in Zambia

Editor,

I would like to make an earnest appeal to all Zambians to preserve peace before, during and after elections. Let us vote for leaders who can deliver policies. The majority of poor Zambians, the voters, are most of the times not remembered except during elections. This is not fair.

No violence please

Editor,

We have few months to go before the elections on 11th August, 2016. Our political leaders should discipline the so-called cadres to desist from politics of violence. We would like to record a free and fair election as a peace loving nation. I urge all the youths to reject violence. It will help us to promote ‘One Zambia, One nation’.

‘Let’s be responsible citizens’

Editor,

As Zambians, we individually have a duty to develop our country. We should not just blame the government. What is your contribution? If an individual cannot develop oneself, why should you complain? Let’s be responsible citizens.

 Reducing accidents on our roads

Editor,

I strongly suggest that all the roads without the markings be painted as soon as possible. This helps a lot of motorists to stick to the right lane especially at night and when it is raining. In this way, we will prevent many road traffic accidents.

Concerned driver.
