…mwale must beat Green Eagles today to save his job
NAPSA Stars coach Wilson Mwale has to record victory against Green Eagles to save his job in today’s Super Division Week 6 match slated for Lusaka’s Woodlands Stadium.
Mwale was this week given an ultimatum by the club executive committee to win the next two games or bear the consequences.
NAPSA’s form has not improved despite surviving relegation last season, kicking off the 2016 season on a poor note, losing three games and drawing one.
They are currently tail-enders on a point after four games played with a game in hand.
But Mwale will be hoping to record the first win this season despite facing a tricky Green Eagles who are determined to secure their second win.
“The boys have been training hard and are not under pressure to face Green Eagles. Green Eagles is a tricky side but we are ready for anything,” said Mwale.
Mwale will be looking up to Ngosa Sunzu, Mathews Macha and Henry Banda to give him the much needed victory this afternoon.
At Sunset Stadium, Lusaka Dynamos will be seeking to avenge the 3-0 loss they suffered last season to Kitwe giants Power Dynamos.
The Perry Mutapa tutored side has warned Power Dynamos that they will not have a dance at Sunset Stadium this afternoon.
“We will not allow Power to beat us in our backyard. The 3-0 loss we endured last season at Arthur Davis Stadium is still vivid; the 2-1 loss at home was more painful. But we are ready to rewrite history,” Mutapa said.
But Lusaka Dynamos may not have an easy game because Tenant Chilumba will be banking on another victory to secure his job.
Striker Martin Phiri is expected to cause havoc on the Lusaka Dynamos defence which has lately been leaking. Elsewhere, Nkana is set to extend their lead on the summit of the table when they host Nchanga Rangers at Nkana Stadium.
Red Arrows hosts Forest Rangers while Nkwazi faces tough tested Zesco United and Mufulira Blackpool will be away to struggling Lumwana Radiants of Solwezi. Nakambala leopards will host Kabwe Warriors.
