Local hip hop star Macky2 last week went on a social responsibility mission under the auspices of Zambian Breweries and his Hope Foundation organization to sensitize young people on the dangers of underage drinking.
The musician who is working with Zambian Breweries to reach out to young people in schools last Thursday visited Hermann Gmeiner Secondary School at Lusaka’s SOS Children’s Villages where he gave an inspirational talk to the pupils.
Although the talk was aimed at tackling underage drinking, the rapper took the opportunity to encourage the young people who could not hide their admiration for his fame, to work hard in school and achieve their set goals.
He also urged them to be focused in life and stay obedient.
Macky2 whose real name is Mark Mulaza Kaira was later joined by Daxon Banda leader and founder of the group Ma Africa. He too shared a number of motivational tips to the pupils.
It was even more exciting for pupils to see the two artistes share a little performance of what they are best known for. Macky2 is among a few artistes that have used their fame to champion social issues and motivate young people.
