PF donates to Kanyama first-level hospital

ASCENDING Era Forum of the ruling PF has donated assorted items worth K17, 000 to Kanyama first-level hospital in Lusaka to help fight cholera.

The items included mealie-meal, rice, cooking oil, toiletries and sugar among many others.

Speaking during the donation at the weekend, forum chairperson Petros Banda said the goods were meant to help health personnel take care of the cholera patients.

“We realize that as a forum, we have a huge role to play in curbing the cholera outbreak in Lusaka; we believe that by donating the little we have, we are actually helping and serving a life. This is just to help health personnel here as they take care of the patients,” Mr. Banda said.

He also urged the health workers to put the donation to good use and for the benefit of the patients.

“Our prayer is that these items be used properly so that each and every patient diagnosed with cholera benefits,” he said.

And health workers at Kanyama first-level hospital expressed happiness over the donation.

They said the donation would go a long way in fighting cholera in their daily duties.

The workers also called on other stakeholders and well-wishers to come on board and donate to the health institution.
