MATERO Member of Parliament Miles Sampa has ceased to be the Orange Alliance president.
The alliance was formed two month ago with the membership of the Democratic Front, National Restoration Party (NAREP) and Fourth Revolution (4R).
Elias Chipimo jnr is president of NAREP while Eric Chanda leader of 4R.
Orange Alliance Chairman Elias Chipimo announced last evening that Mr Sampa ceased to be president of the alliance following the cases which he had before the Supreme Court with the Patriotic Front.
“The Orange Alliance hereby informs the nation that Mr Miles Sampa and the Democratic Front are no longer part of the Orange Alliance following the development surrounding the disputes between the Democratic Front and the Patriotic Front over the registration of Democratic Front,”
“This matter is now tied up in the Supreme Court. Mr Miles Sampa hereby ceases to be the Orange Alliance President,” he said.
Mr Chipimo said all the alliance business would now be addressed to the Alliance Chairman at the NAREP secretariat
And Orange Alliance deputy spokesperson Ezra Ngulube, who also confirmed the development, said Mr Chipimo and Mr Sampa had a meeting on Friday evening were they agreed to part company.
