ZAMBEEF has appointed Graham Clark as the new non-executive director of the group subject to confirmation at the next annual general meeting.
Mr Clark has over 30 years experience at senior level with major food and agriculture companies across Sub-Saharan Africa, including directorships of listed companies
He takes over from Adam Fleming who joined the board on 26 February 2004 and had retired.
And Mr Fleming said the business had grown tremendously in the period, including the expansion of its footprint across Sub-Saharan Africa.
He pledged to remain a supportive shareholder of Zambeef even after retiring.
“I have greatly enjoyed my time on the board of Zambeef. The business has grown tremendously in the period, including the expansion of its footprint across Sub-Saharan Africa and a successful listing on AIM.
“I am delighted that somebody with Graham’s considerable experience is joining the board at this very exciting time in the group’s development. I will continue to remain a supportive shareholder of Zambeef,” he said.
Meanwhile, Zambeef chairman Dr Jacob Mwanza said he was grateful to Mr Fleming for his significant contribution to the company’s growth and expansion in the period he was non-executive director.
He also believed that Mr Clark’s extensive and highly relevant experience would be of significant value to the company.
“Adam’s expertise, knowledge and business experience has been greatly appreciated over his 12 years on the board. I believe that the extensive and highly relevant experience for Mr Clark will be of significant value to Zambeef.
“We are very grateful to him for his significant contribution to Zambeef’s growth and expansion in the period, and we wish him well for the future,” he said.
