Chipolopolo striker Collins Mbesuma insists that his South African club Mpumalanga Black Aces can still win the Absa Premiership title despite now falling nine points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
AmaZayoni have slipped up recently, winning only one of their last five games, but ‘‘King David” says the hunger and belief is still there.
“Why not? I believe in God, and with God nothing is impossible,” he says in the latest edition of KICK OFF magazine.
“Why can’t we win it? It is just about us believing that we can make it happen. The coach [Muhsin Ertugral] has told us that we have to believe – it is now up to us to embrace his encouragement.
“Even the younger players’ hunger is improving because they feel they are part of a family with a good father.”
Mbesuma still leads the goal scoring charts with 11 goals, three ahead of his closest rivals Khama Billiat, Prince Nxumalo and Thobani Mncwango.
