THE opposition alliance will never work because all the leaders involved are power hungry, says Governance forum executive director Gerard Musonda.
He said that the alliance of opposition political parties must set aside personal aspirations and interests, because all leaders had different agendas that might not work to the advantage of others.
Mr Musonda said it was not the first time alliances were being formed which did not work because people were hungry for power.
“We don’t see those alliances coming to fruitful because they have been tried before and had not worked, because some leaders are hungry for power, and also the opposition political party leaders have never wanted to be under anyone.
“How can you perform to the expectation of the people when you are serving two masters at a time, and that is why the opposition alliance should work on such issues if at all they want to convince the people of Zambia,” he said.
Mr Musonda said it was not easy to form an alliance in Zambia because different political leader had different ideologies.
