PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Ndeke ward councillor Evans Nsokolo has pleaded not guilty to three counts of obtaining money by false pretenses.

Appearing before Kitwe Magistrate Ikechukwu Iduma, Nsokolo 36 of house 512 Ndeke Changa changa pleaded not guilty to the three charges against him.

Particulars of the offences before the court were that, in the first account, Nsokolo on September 13,2015  allegedly obtained money amounting to K21,000  by false pretenses contrary  to laws of Zambia from Eunice Mwanamwamba.

It is alleged that this was with intent to defraud as Nsokolo was pretending to have a plot when in fact not.

In the second count Nsokolo on September 13,2015 with intend to defraud did obtained K18,500 cash from Carol Mutafela pretending to have a plot when in fact no plot.

In the last count, it is alleged that Nsokolo on 16th August 2012 in Kitwe fraudulent tricked and obtained K13,000 from Paul Kaoma of Kaoma property. The Kitwe magistrate court has since adjourned the matter to 10 th February,2016 for continued trial.

Nsokolo is one of the two councillors at the Kitwe City Council who were arrested and detained for allegedly obtaining money on false pretenses in the illegal sale of Land.
