Artiste and rapper Sam Sakala famously known as  Dope G  returns to acting this year as he features in a new local series called, ‘Fever’ set to be aired on DStv Zambezi Channel 160 early next month.

The rapper whose music career can be traced back from the award-winning group, Zone Fam is making his second appearance in acting after a very successful stint in the soap, ‘Love Games’. He is one of the lead casts of ‘Fever’ alongside famous actress Mutale who most people can remember from the theatre play, ‘Demolishing Democracy’. Others involved in the production and cast include Zambia’s local film guru, Owas Ray Mwape.

The series is set to highlight some of the day-to-day activities involving the lifestyle in Zambia and producers feel it is a great opportunity to expose Zambia’s talent especially that the series will be airing on Zambezi Magic Channel.

Dope G is optimistic this year will be a good one for him as he has doubled up his talent of acting with music.

He recently released a single called ‘My Hair’ which has dominated airplay and its video doing very fine. The song features instrumentalist and seasoned musician Jones Kabanga aka Sir Jones.
