THE Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) is organizing an outward business trade mission for Zambian entrepreneurs to link them to foreign investors.
In an email announcing the mission to its members, ZACCI says the purpose of the business trade mission was to link Zambian business people with foreign businesses for market access and partnerships.
ZACCI has however requested its members to give views on preferred destination to visit to enable it prepare effectively.
Meanwhile, ZACCI has urged its members to participate in the upcoming Africa 2016 business forum taking place in Sharm el-Shekih, Egypt, from 20th to 21st February. The primary objective of the forum was to accelerate private sector engagement and investment in Africa. It is also expected to help develop new ties and partnerships, and to highlight investment opportunities on the African continent.
The ‘‘Africa 2016’’ summit is the African international business forum for entrepreneurs concerned about doing business in Africa, the world’s last investment frontier.
The forum provides the platform needed for public and private sector to network, discuss and further advance African business projects. It is expected to bring together over 1,500 high-level delegates interested in African business opportunities for the different sectors such as energy, financial services trade and agribusiness.
The forum will be held under that country’s Ministry of Investment in conjunction with the Egyptian Agency for Partnership and Development.
Other partners are the COMESA Regional Investment Agency under the umbrella of the African Union Commission.
The objective of the meeting is to accelerate private sector engagement and investment within Africa, to help develop new ties and partnerships and to highlight the ‘‘African opportunity’’.
