IT is an insult of the worst kind on the Mwinelubemba by the United Party for National Development (UPND) propaganda team to assert that the Paramount Chief Chimukulu is unable to personally protest against the lies against him.
PF member of central committee Frank Bwalya said it was unacceptable for the UPND and its propaganda team to insinuate that Henry Kanyanta Sosala, the Paramount Chief Chitimukulu was ‘invalid’ and unable to protest on his own behalf when politically abused by politicians who were hungry for power.
Fr Bwalya who is PF central committee media and publicity chairman has appealed to subjects of Mwinelubemba and Zambians in general to demand an apology from the UPND and its leader Hakainde Hichilema with his agents for portraying the Bemba chief as gullible.
He said the statement by Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba people of Northern Province that the Bashilubemba (reproducted on page 3) had castigated PF secretary general Davis Chama in a manner that seemed to promote the Tonga tribe hegemony had sent a strong message to the UPND that Zambians were fed up with tribal propaganda.
Fr Bwalya recalled that it was not the first time the UPND propaganda team in desperation had attempted to abuse and scandalize Paramount Chief Chitimukulu as during the January 2015 presidential election, the opposition political party claimed that the Mwinelubemba had endorsed Mr Hichilema.
“The manner in which Henry Kanyanta Sosala, the Mwinelubemba has spoken out on the UPND propaganda that he (Paramount Chief Chitimukulu) castigated Mr Chama clearly shows that the traditional leader and Zambians in general are fed up with the UPND style of politics. It is an insult on the intelligence of the Chitimukulu to insinuate that he can only protest through other people when he has been abused by politicians who are power hungry. The UPND knows very well the intellectual capacity and process of Paramount Chief Chitimukulu including his academic credentials and exploits for them to doubt his reaction to their malicious propaganda,” he said.
Fr Bwalya said the UPND through an online publication linked to the opposition political party exacerbating political acrimony against itself by alleging that the statement by Paramount Chief Chitimukulu was allegedly authored by Daily Nation proprietor Richard Sakala and Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba.
He explained that Zambians were aware that the online publication was championing an agenda to usher Mr Hichilema into State House.
Fr Bwalya said there was no doubt in the minds of many Zambians that the UPND was using online media to insult innocent citizens adding that Mr Hichilema should not take for granted the kindness Zambians had accorded to him to continue abusing them.
