MAG 44 wants to revive ZamRock

Call him a gospel artiste but Magnus Mando aka Mag 44 is simply a musician doing music to help save souls and bring Jesus in day-to-day issues.

His latest and second album ‘Brave Only’ is a 13-track album with five interludes meant to bring back some ZamRock sound which the musician says must not be lost.

He insists that he is very keen to preserve the ‘ZamRock’ which is historically typical Zambian music on his latest album so as to make music sound authentic.

“Brave Only” was launched last week and Magg 44 is addressing various topics and issues on this collection.

He says the whole theme of this album is to encourage people to be fearless and achieve as many goals as possible. The album features some seasoned and upcoming musicians including Nalu, James Sakala and Tim Chisenga of formerly Zone Fam. Others are Suffix, Edward, Sarah and Evans.

Amongst the many catchy tracks on the album include “ I found love,” “ Nchito,” and “ Tonight”. Others are “ Tamanga”, “ Ipongoloke,” and “ Feeling”.

The entire collection gives one that authentic beats and skills missing in modern-day sound.
