RESIDENTS of Choma have appealed to their member of Paliarment Cornelius Mweetwa to visit his constituency and see the development projects the Patriotic Front Government has implemented.
Gift Mweemba who spoke on behalf of residents told the Daily Nation in Choma district that there was every reason for genuine Zambia to support efforts made by the Government to better the lives of Zambians.
Mr Mweemba said the people of Choma were witnessing development but it was unfortunate that Mr Mweetwa who United Party for National Development was no where to be seen to witness the on-going infrastructure development.
He said although there were limited formal jobs in Choma, the youths in the district were benefiting from the on-going projects in the area.
“We are appealing to the MP to be visiting his constituency to see the massive development the Government has put in place to benefit common citizen, and here we are working, which means we are able to meet our daily demands,” Mr Mweemba said.
And another Choma resident, Richard Nchimunya said the residents of Choma were happy with the developments which were taking place and that jobs had been created.
“We want to thank President Lungu, particularly for being a President for all because even here in Choma we can see with our own eyes things we have never seen in terms of development, and here we are walking on good roads, and this has made our lives easier because even the farmers have found it easier to transports their produce,” he said.
Mr Nchimunya said the people of Zambia were only interested in seeing tangible development as was a case in Choma.
He said the Government had worked for the people, citing infrastructure development and access to both health and education provision.
