A WOMAN who wanted her marriage disolved in a local court because of the flirtatious husband reconciled with him later after he begged for forgiveness and gave her his sim card to break so that he cannot contact girlfriends.
Absalom Sakala, 37, of Garden House compound begged his wife Grace of George Compound for forgiveness after she had sued him for divorce.
The two got married in 2010 and have two children.
Grace told Senior Court Magistrate Pauline Newa sitting with Magistrate Lewis Mumba at Matero Local Court that all was well until when she had her second pregnancy and Sakala started coming home late.
Later she learnt that he had a child with another woman. Sakala stopped providing for the family and would go away for weeks.
“When he returns home he sleeps in the corner and goes away any time his girlfriend calls him,”she said.
Grace stated that the other time at 22.00 hours Sakala came home with girlfriend who was wearing a jean trousers and pushed her out of the bedroom and spent a night with the girlfriend.
“I went to my parents on July 14 after Sakala brought his girlfriend in the matrimonial bedroom. That was when I decided to sue him for divorce,” said Grace.
Grace maintained that Sakala would not change because girlfriends call him at night. It was at this poisnt that Sakala gave Grace a sim card and asked her to break it. She got the card and forgave him. Magistrate Newa reconciled the couple and told Sakala that Grace lost trust when he impregnated another woman and that he was supposed to sit her down to find out the reason she goes to her parents.
