PF warns Cartel

THE Patriotic Front (PF) will not stand idly by and allow the cartel conduct its subversive propanganda to achieve regime change, Lusaka Province PF youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba has warned.

He said although the PF was intact and united, the ruling party was aware that there were certain elements within and outside scheming against the ruling party.

In an interview, Mr. Kamba said the party was aware of some enemies within and outside the party scheming to campaign against President Edgar Lungu ahead of next year’s general elections.

He said the youth movement within the PF would do everything possible to protect the party from the enemies talking ill about President Lungu through some newspapers which have decided to be enemies of the PF.

“It is not about the PF, it is about the people of Zambia. We are aware that the party has so many enemies within and outside. Some are just planted to scheme the downfall of the PF that is why you have seen that some tabloids are writing negative things about the PF and President Lungu every day,” said Mr. Kamba.

He said the PF was a strong party and would always work towards improving the livelihood of the people of Zambia across the country and not for a few corrupt elements who have now turned against the party they supported in 2011.

Mr Kamba said the PF would not succumb to demands of certain individuals  trying to promote their political and business agenda, adding that Zambia was bigger than even newspapers promoting tribalism and division in the country.

“We have seen the way they are now attacking President Lungu the person they worked with very well when he was a Minister of Home affairs and Defence before their loved man Wynter Kabimba was fired by President Michael Sata as Justice Minister. This attack against President Lungu is all about bitterness because their man was not made President,” said Mr. Kamba. He said the ruling party was aware of its enemies who have regrouped to fight President Lungu by distancing people from Southern Province from working with the Government and President Lungu in particular.

“We all know this scheme of tribal talk and who it is targeted at. We know where it is coming from. They have tried all means to divide Zambians but they have failed because the people of Zambia no longer trust them and do not even trust and believe them and what they write. Now what they have done is to turn to our brothers and sisters in Southern Province who they want to work against President Lungu on the basis of tribe and this has proved to be a failure,” Mr Kamba said. He urged Zambians to be wary of all sorts of propaganda aimed at tarnishing the PF government and President Lungu in particular ahead of next year’s general elections.

“All they are talking about is politics. Ask them what wrong has President Lungu done? Ask them why are they consistently promoting tribal talk against President Lungu? Find out what business do they have with the tribal talk they are preaching daily and who does it serve?” asked Mr. Kamba.
