WORKERS at Group Four (G4) Security Company who downed tools on Monday have gone back to work after their director of operations Mr. Sydney Odoi was sent on forced leave.
Impeccable sources from within the company have revealed that Mr. Odoi has been put on suspension pending investigations.
The move has elated workers who claimed they had been tormented for a long time by the suspended director of operations.
“The director of operations Mr. Sydney Odoi has been put on suspension pending further investigations by management. This has elated workers who feel their protest on Monday was worthwhile,” a source from within told the Daily Nation Newspaper. But company human resource officer Mabvuto Daka said he could not say anything to the press because it was against company policy.
He said the company would issue a statement which would be made available to the press once internal issues are sorted out.
And workers were seen carrying out normal duties yesterday as opposed to Monday when they had locked the gate to the main entrance at their headquarters in the heavy industrial area blocking access to both clients and others who wanted to accesses the offices.
On Monday workers at G4 Security Company downed tools calling for the resignation of the director of operations accusing him of intimidating them and flouting the country’s labor laws.
