Arrows spear Rangers


Red Arrows yesterday walloped Forest Rangers 3-1 in  an entertaining game played at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium.

The Zambia Air Force (ZAF) sponsored side dominated the whole match exhibiting good playing skills.

Arrows opened the score sheet in the 18th minute through Lubinda Mundia .

Two minutes, later the Albert Kachinga tutored side added another goal through Festus Mbewe.

In the second half Arrows created many chances but failed to convert and allowed Forest to score in the 77th minute through Mala Besa.

However in the 89th minute Francis Kombe sealed the day with the third goal for Arrows.

At Nkana stadium in Kitwe, host Nkana drew 1-all with visiting ZANACO.

ZANACO broke the deadlock in the 36 through a shot by Boyd Musonda.

But Nkana put up a spirited fight and equalised in the 88th minute through a penalty converted by Shedrick Musonda after he was tripped by defender Donwell Yobe.

Power Dynamos beat Konkola Blades 1-0 through a goal by Jimmy Ndlhlovu.

‘Mighty’ Mufulira Wanderers beat Lusaka Dynamos 2-0 with goals coming from Moses Nyambe in the 11th minute and Eric Chibuye in the 80th minute.
