ZAMBEEF injects US$20m in palm oil plant


 ZAMBEEF has invested US$20 million in its 20 thousand hectares palm oil plantation in Chief Kopa’s area of Mpika district.

The massive palm oil plantation, which is the first in the country, will by the end of the year start producing four thousand litres of oil per day.

This came to light when Agriculture and Livestock Minister Given Lubinda, who was in the company of his Deputy Maxus Ngonga and Permanent Secretary David Shamulenge toured the plantation.

Mr. Lubinda praised both Chief Kopa for allowing the investment and ZAMBEEF for facilitaing the implementation of the project.

And Mr. Lubinda said government will soon stop importing both crude and purified oils because the country was capable of producing-ZNBC
