THOSE calling for the removal of Patriotic Front secretary general Davies Chama are not true members of the PF, but frustrated former members who left the party, says former PF information and publicity secretary Wellington Musonda.
He said the top leadership should immediately act and get rid of the remaining frustrated members who were bringing confusion to frustrate the efforts made by President Edgar Lungu in discharging his duty as republican President.
Mr Musonda said there was no doubt that some PF members were still in the ruling party to cause confusion.
“We are aware that there are some of our members who are being used by the people who left the ruling party to dent the image of the party, and these are the people you see are working against the party manifesto,” he said.
Mr Musonda explained that some of the people were still shocked that President Lungu was Head of State.
He said the PF was determined to serve better the people of Zambia and that those bringing confusion in the party were just time-wasters.
“How can genuine members call for the removal of the party secretary general when he (Mr Chama) is a Presidential appointee?
We can only say that those who had such intentions are just being sent to destabilize the party, but they will not manage,” he said.
Mr Musonda said it was important that the leadership of the PF took action against the people destabilizing the ruling party and Government, especially those who were leaking classified documents.
