POWER Dynamos coach Tenant Chilumba is today targeting to grab three points to dominate the league table when his charges face Zanaco in the rescheduled week one game.
Power shot to the summit of the standings on Saturday having played three matches, level on 9 points with Konkola Blades and Green Eagles who have played two games more.
Chilumba said the boys were building up on qualifying to the CAF champions’ league and will not take any match for a ride.
“The target still remains that of lifting the title this season and qualifying for the CAF champions’ league. We are taking every game seriously in order to achieve the target,“ he said.
Zanaco is occupying the fourth slot with eight points and coach Numba Mumamba’s coaching skills will be put to the test against highly profiled Power.
Zanaco are coming into the match with a 3-0 victory against Buffaloes last Saturday and will have to beat Power to lead the table.
Zanaco defeated Power Dynamos 1 – 0 when the same fixture was played on 15th November 2014.
If Zanaco win they will move to the top of the standings with a two-point gap over their opponents.
Meanwhile, ZESCO, itching to reduce the point gap to two if they beat the Zambia Army sponsored side Buffaloes ,will be scheming a repossession game to deny the visitors victory.
Last year Zesco beat Green Buffaloes 1 – 0 when they met at Edwin Imboela Stadium on 12th April 2014.
Fifth placed defending champions Zesco play Buffaloes in an away game at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.
