FAWEZA cheers girl child education efforts

 

Forum for African Women Educationalists in Zambia (FAWEZA) national coordinator Agness Shipanuka is happy that the country performed well in girl child education in 2014.

Ms Shipanuka said the organisation was happy that more girls had been enrolled into schools.

‘’The organisation is happy that more girls have been enrolled into schools, we are happy that the country has performed well in terms of girl education in 2014 compared to other years.’’

Ms Shipanuka however called for concerted efforts from stakeholders to improve the education system in the country.

‘’We are calling for concerted efforts from stakeholders to improve the education system in the country,’’ she said.

Ms Shipanuka said despite the achievement that the country had made towards girl child education, there was still need for more effort towards the cause.
