U-20 to meet Ghana in CAF


THE Zambia Under-20 and Under-17 national teams have been drawn in Groups A and B respectively next year’s CAF youth and junior championships respectively.

According to draws conducted at CAF headquarters in Cairo this morning, the Zambia Under-20 boys will get the championship campaign under way against Mali in a group which also has Ghana and South Africa.

The Under-17, who will be making their debut at the CAF U-17 finals are in Group A and face hosts Niger, Nigeria and Guinea.

The final tournament of the Orange Under-20 finals will be held from 8-22 March 2015 in Senegal while the Under-17 championship takes place from 15 February to 1 March next year in Niger.

The two finalists in each group during the two championships will represent the continent at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup and 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile and New Zealand respectively.



Group A: Senegal, Nigeria, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire

Group B: Ghana, South Africa, Mali, ZAMBIA


GROUP A: Niger, Nigeria, Guinea, ZAMBIA

GROUP B: Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa, Mali, Cameroon
