Nkana don’t scare us

Nchanga Rangers coach Fighton Simukonda says they are not intimidated by nemesis Nkana who they face in the 2014 Charity Shield semifinals.

Defending league champions Nkana have been drawn against Nchanga in the Charity Shield last four to be played on February 1 at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
Memories are still fresh in Nchanga’s minds after losing 1-0 at home and 4-1 away to Nkana in the 2013 MTN/FAZ Super Division season.”It is a tough draw for both of us,” Simukonda told MTNFootball.com.
“It is another year and last year’s results they got against us are in the past now. We will just prepare well for the match.” Nchanga qualified to play in the Charity Shield after finishing in the top four bracket in third position at the end of last season.
Nchanga and Nkana have not win the season-opening silverware since 2002 and 2000 respectively.
Meanwhile, winner of that semifinal clash will face Zesco United, who finished second, or Red Arrows, who finished fourth. Zesco and Arrow be in action on the same date in a doubleheader at Arthur Davies for a place in the February 22 final.-MTNFootball.com
