Chinese survives Victoria Falls fall

A CHINESE national has survived death after he fell in the gorge at the Victoria Falls in Livingstone, heritage site.Wang Shun Xue, 45, fell in the gorge on Monday morning as he was trying to get some photographs of the edge of the Victoria Falls.

Southern Province police commissioner Charity Katanga confirmed the incidence to the Daily Nation in Livingstone on Monday afternoon.Katanga said that the barrier where Mr. Xue was standing broke while he was trying to take pictures and he fell in the gorge.She said that the victim survived with minor injuries and was rescued by the Livingstone fire brigade and Banji jumpers.Katanga said that Xue has since been taken to Sun Hotel clinic for checkups.
