Masumba fired

President Michael Sata fired Masumba yesterday after the Lusaka Magistrate Court sentenced him to 12 month imprisonment with hard labour.

In a statement made available, President Sata thanked Masumba for the services rendered to the government and wished him success in his future endeavors.

This week the Lusaka Magistrate Court sentenced the Mufumbwe Parliamentarian to one year imprisonment with hard labour after convicting him of a charge of obtaining pecuniary advantage by false pretences contrary to section 309 a (2) c of the penal code as read with section 41 of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act number 42 of 1996
