RB consoles Sata

Fourth Republican president Rupiah Banda has sent a message of condolences to President Michael Sata on the death of Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Kennedy Sakeni.

In his message, Banda has wished President Sata the strength to withstand the demise of the Mansa Central parliamentarian and chief government spokesperson who died in Lusaka last week.

“Having served in your position before, I know how it feels to lose a dedicated member of your party and Cabinet, and it is my prayer that the Almighty God grants you the strength to go through this difficult period,” he said.

In the letter addressed to the Head of State, the former president also asked President Sata to convey his condolences to the bereaved family.

This is contained in a statement issued by his deputy administrative assistant Kennedy Limwanya in Lusaka yesterday.
