Botswana, Kenya vie for quarterfinal berth

Cosafa 2013 action returns to Lusaka this afternoon with Group B action and results that will complete the quarter final line up with a double header at Nkoloma Stadium.

Table leaders Harambe Stars of Kenya face Botswana while Lesotho and Swaziland face off in a brotherly tussle to see who takes top spot in Group B.

Kenya played Lesotho in the opening match and came from 2-0 down to end the game 2-2 and later the East Africans turned on the style to beat Swaziland 2-0 in their second match.

Their opponents, Botswana were held to a 0-all draw by Swaziland in the opening match with Lesotho also holding them to a 3-3 result to toughen their chase for a quarterfinal berth.

Whoever comes out winner between Botswana and Kenya will be the team to book a date with the Palancas Negras of Angola.

Botswana will hope their top striker Jerome Ramathlakwane and Thabo Moloi carry their shooting boots as they face a highly motivated Kenya.

The Harambe stars who are the only guest team have shown that they are not going to be a push over as they have matched all their opponents and have been scoring at will.

In the all monarchical tussle Lesotho could still pull through as they have two points and a win could lift them to five points as they await the result in the other Group B.

Coach Leslie Notsie will surely miss the services of injured Litsepe Marabe who limped off in the game against Botswana.
