Zambia ‘s representatives in CAF championships Zanaco and power dynamos yesterday reached this year’s Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlobvu Charity Shield match after Beating Napsa and Zesco United respectively.
Power earlier yesterday played Copperbelt rivals Zesco United in a thriller which ended in favour of Kitwe giant and attacking midfielder Kennedy Mudenda scored the opening goal.
Zesco scored through Kangwa Chileshe before 2012 Zambia player of the year Mukuka Mulenga netted the winning goal for Power.
Zanaco scored four goals against city rivals Napsa in the second game and proved beyond doubt that coach Keagan Mumba is making a team to reckon with in this year’s CAF champions league.
Having scored three goals last week against Swaziland side, it was evident that now the team ready to reach the group stage of CAF Champions league.
Bankers scored first through former national team striker Davies Mwape and Rodrick Kabwe added second before Spencer Ngalande leveled for Napsa in the second half.
Zanaco ‘s tactical change during the dying minutes of the game paid off for Coach Mumba when Boyd Mwangelwa scored the winning goal to lead Bankers with four minutes before full time.
Former FAZ premier league top scorer formerly of Choma Eagles Aurbley Zulu easied Mumba‘s pressure when he netted the fourth goal for Bankers.
Mumba said that results were coming according to his game plan and hope that same pace will help the team to prepare adequately for next week ‘s CAF champions league second leg tie against Mbabane Swallows of Swaziland.
